Sullivan Brown enters his eighth season as the associate/assistant head coach to legendary program builder Chris Chaney.
Known as a player development ace, Brown has been instrumental in the development of myriad Division 1 players, including Clarence Nadolny (Texas Tech), Abou Ousmane (North Texas), Mohammed Wague (West Virginia), Darlinstone Dubar (Hofstra), Jayson
Woodrich (Cleveland State), Karim Coulibaly (Pittsburgh), Koreem Ozier (Louisiana
Monroe) and a bevy of others. The true draw of Brown’s trade is his ability to push student athletes through arduous workouts, emphasizing skill components. He’s a thorough tactician with an unparalleled work ethic. Beyond player development, the Memphis native is instrumental in recruiting, college placement, Xs and Os, scouting, film analysis/breakdown, and weight training/development.
A full throttle coach on the sidelines, Brown is a quintessential players’ coach who emphasizes discipline and accountability. He prides himself on holding his players to a high standard while subsequently mentoring them as people first, players second. Under Chaney, who is the all time winningest Prep coach in his age group and current era, Brown holds a scalding winning percentage of 91.2 percent. Previously at Scotland Campus in Pennsylvania, Brown helped lead the program to multiple no.1 national rankings and a berth in the prep national championships in 2019. Brown is an around the clock skill tactician, and has his own brand in SB basketball. With his training, Brown’s reach extends to the international market and includes various professionals. He’s operated clinics and exposure camps throughout the globe, including in China. Brown’s level of experience, culture building, winning, and wide ranging recruiting connections make him one of the most reputable young coaches and skill clinician’s in the country.
