Southern California Academy is dedicated to encouraging and developing young student athletes both on and off the court, in believing in their dreams, setting goals, and disciplining themselves to their highest potential.
Travis Nichols was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Growing up in the streets of Brooklyn was not easy, and Travis learned at a young age that if he wanted success in his life he was going to have to work for it. Hard work and dedication in High School paid off and he received a full basketball scholarship to St. Francis College, a Division 1 school.
More adversity set in when hopes of playing professional ball didn’t work out. Through the downfalls, Travis realized that he could take his love for the game, and the lessons of his personal experiences on and off the court and use them to mentor, train, and develop young athletes on their journey.
This is when he started TNT training, a skills and development training program. But he had a dream and a vision larger than that; to take kids and develop them from the ground up, both on and off the court, and to give them opportunities that he never had. His vision, SCA, came to life, where all players are encouraged to Dream Big, Set Goals, Ram Through!
Chloe Rowlett-Phillips serves as the Student-Athlete Advisor for the SCA program for all sports. In this role, Chloe is responsible for tuition, camp admissions and outreach.
